D-Day; H-Hour

This day an entire generation of Americans embarked upon a crusade to free Europe from Nazi oppression.
At 6:30 am June 6, 1944 the invasion of Europe began on the beaches of Normandy. Heavily fortified, by German forces, it was not a sure thing that the invasion would succeed.

I charge you all to thank any world war 2 veterans you know today, they paid a heavy price so we could have our freedom today.  The war lasted many days and
We remember history because it tells us about ourselves.
Remembering D-day reminds us the character of our people, of who we have to live up to.
